Canada 2001 celica GT-S (VVTL-I)Lift problem!!!

anyone give me any help or tips on what i can do to fix the Lift boost? My lift was kicking in fine until the other day. now it still revs to about 8,500rpms but its slow and loud... I love my car but Driving it without that extra power is depressing. usually the car just needed a few minutes to warm up for it to kick in but now it doesnt work at all. I was thinking about bringing it in to toyota but that could be pricy. I have no idea what to do!!

sounds like the bolt probably broke...it seems to be a common thing on the 2zz

check out c7performance - I believe that they have a diy for how to change it
