Question Can I swap an 87 GTS engine into a 90 GTS body?

I have had an engine built that came out of an '87 Celica GT-S (3SGE). My question is, could I put this engine in a '90 GT-S? I like those body styles more, and I have come across comeone that has a 90 GT-S that needs engine work. Is that a difficult swap? What would need to be switched out if I were to try the swap? Thanks

It'll fit. You'll need wiring harness and ECU.

Thanks Pineapple

Thank you for the infromation. Now, this might sound like a dumb question, but would I use both the ecu and wiring harness from the '87 or from the '90?

Thanks again!

You'll need the '90 5SFE ECU and harness, as that is the engine you're running. Good luck and let us know how it turns out.

He's swapping a 87 3S-GE into his 90 Celica. So he need the 87 3S-GE ECU and wiring harness. He got the stock one already, don't need another one.
