Hello,

Just wondering what is the easiest engine swap which bolts right in to a 1994 Celica FWD.

Thanks

Where did you hear that? No swap is "easy"

The most common swap is the 3sgte, there are only two Celicas running around with v6s

It depends what engine you have in your '94.

Your best choice for a more simple engine swap would be a 4age then. It comes in many variations. Theres 2 versions of the 16valve na 4age, 2 versions of the 20valve 4age and i believe 2 versions of the supercharged 4agze (I think most people just consider a 4agze a 4agze). What all the differences are in all the engines? I'm not too sure so I'm not gonna try explaining. But those are your easiest engine swaps besides swapping in another 7afe. There is also the option of a 4afe but that would be a pointless swap and of course there are more "a" series engines but I'm assuming its more power you want. Theres also always the option of doing a 4age/gze head swap making it a hybrid 7age/gze.

Do a lot of research before try any. As it was said already, no engine swap is easy.

actually the easiest would be the 5s(2.2) that originally came in it but lacks in power compared to the silver top(20v 4age)

^ not really, the a series engine will go in easier because he is starting with an a series. Swapping to an s series would require relocating some engine mounts

are you planning on any custom and relocated engine mounts? becuase if your going to do a motor swap choose a motor that gonna be worth the build. All motor swaps are difficult on toyotas. They don't go together like legos;like on a Honda(BLUGH!!).I'd go with the 3sgte.... Make us Proud and build a one-off!!!!

Canada Thanks

Thanks for all the replies....I have done some research and have decided that the 3SGTE engine would be the smart thing to do if I am going to go through all the trouble and time of swapping.....I alredy found one at an ok price....but my only concern is the motor mounts...from what I have read there is 1 on the drivers side that has to be re-located....is this correct???

Can I use the existing mounts in the car now....just cut them off...re-locate and weld them??? I have experience with this kind of stuff but am new to Toyota Modifications......

Does anyone have ant pics of relocated mounts or know where I can get some diagrams/pictures......

Thanks for all the help already...
