Please Help with AIR condish

can anyone walk me through draining my r12 out of my 91 celica gts? i need to drain it so i can convert it to R134a, and no shops out here will even touch the r12, they wont even drain it for me, and to have them convert it for me, its 478 bucks, and i can just drain it and put in the 134a for a price of 40 bucks, so please help me!!

is it still working with R12? Dont drain it if it is-R12 works better. My 85 GT-S convertible has kick-ass R12 AC in it...I hope it lasts for awhile.

just to let you know you cant just switch refrigerants, you would have to get r134a parts

to change it you will first have to get the r12 out, then change the dryer, the new ones will do eather 12 or 134a but the old one will only work with 12, then try to get all the oil out of the system that you can and put ester oil in, then put the 134 fittings on the fill ports, pull it down and fill er up

youll also need an adapter because r12 and r134a hot connecters are diffrent

just pay a shop to do it, if you can find one. That way if the gas leaks, you can have them fix it again with no charge.
