Gen5 Speaker Suggestions

Hi all

Newbie to boards. I have a 90 GTS which I want to replace the stock speakers in. I have no plans for amps or such. It does have an aftermarket Pioneer CD player in it (45wX4). I've narrowed my selections to the Infinity, Polk Audio, or Cerwin Vega's. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I recently bought myself a 1990 ST185 celica, and am also doing up its stereo. The stock amp under the passengers seat has been ripped out, and some aftermarket Panasonic head unit was installed. I have replaced it with a big double din head unit. I am putting a 4 channel amp under the passengers seat, and a amp in the boot for the sub. As for speakers, I am putting high powered Boschmann mid-bass (not co-axial) speakers in the front and rear, and for the highs I'm using the stock tweeters in the doors and in the boot. As far as brands go, anything along the lines of Boschmann, Pioneer, Alpine, JVC, Sony, Kenwood, Cerwin Vega, Fusion, Soundstream, or Earthquake etc and you shouldn't have any problems. Stay away from brands such as Reactor, Rampage, Benzer etc

I personally have a pair of infinity three-ways and they are fantastic. I currently have them on an amp but when I first got them they were just running off the head unit. I know a few others with infinities and they all sound great. They're clean and can take a beating.
