Question Powersteering

I am swapping a 4A-GE Silvertop into my AT180 Celica, and I feel like I have heard all sides to this it seems like, but I want as many opinions as I can get. I am trying to figure out if there is a way to be able to remove the power steering pump without harming the rack. I have heard a straight NO, but I have also heard a yes. They say you can do it by running one side of the rack into the other side. Since the P.S. fluid can go from side to side in the rack it won’t build up pressure and blow any seals, but since the fluid is present it will keep things lubed.

I know a lot about cars… but this is something that I am not too sure on and need some help and advice. I don’t want to spend money on hard lines and low pressure line unless I have to. I also want to get as much horsepower out of my motor as possible. I have spent 3900.00 overall so far to be able to get this far on my swap. Please help.

Has anyone done this or knows if it will work?
