2sfe exhaust manifold

Just picked up an 86 Celica GT 2SE Auto. Found out i had no gaskets on my exhaust flange, figured that would explain the excessive loudness, got that sealed and tightened up, its better, however there is still a leak. it still sounds up front so I figured I'd replace the exhaust/intake manifold gasket, which looks like one hell of a job. I've gotten the outside 4 bolts off, however there are 2 in the center that I can't get to with a wrench from above or a socket from behind, anyone ever done this before and found something that works? also are these exhaust manifolds known for leaking issues?
