95 Celica Gt Trans Problem

Okay this is a little odd it drives fine in (D) and O/D But it wont harldy move in reverse i am wondering since there was a some other electirc problems with the car if it could be electric also there is a harness that goes under the center console that is not plugged in ??? and finally the fuel pump acts like it has a loose connection to it it will come on then shut off to where the engine dies but after awhile it will run fine ????? i have checked relays changed them and checked fuses the car has 93,000 miles it sat for 9 months before i bought it and it wasn't running when i got it because of the fuse lol im to fimilar with toyota always been in a dodge or chevy but i am checking everything i know to check and also would it be cheaper to do a manual swap in this then have it repaired if there is in fact a internal problem ??? ?

Hmm. Sounds like my 95 Celica GT. It's a automatic and when I go in reverse it has a very difficult time and barely moves. I believe its the transmission. I am looking to sell the car cuz I just dont think its worth putting a new transmission in a car with 205K on it...
