5 Benefits of Using Synthetic Motor Oils

5 Benefits of Using Synthetic Motor Oils

A few years ago, the use of synthetic motor oils was not in vogue. It was difficult to find people who admitted to use synthetic motor oils. But, now-a-days, the use of synthetic motor oils is in vogue on account of different reasons. And off course you can find such synthetic oils one the shelves of several retailers of industrial lubricants. A number of people are turning to use of synthetic motor oils instead of traditional petroleum based motor oils.

There are several reasons and benefits of using synthetic motor oils:
  • Synthetic oils are comparatively costlier than of traditional petroleum based oils at purchase. But, these oils last long and require fewer oils changes. They have excellent heat and oxidation resistance to control sludge deposits and extend oil life. Thus, they save time and money both.
  • Synthetic oils have higher initial viscosity index and less viscosity breakdown rather than traditional industrial lubricants. They have more uniformly sized molecules and superior viscosity stability. Due to superior viscosity they provide bearing protection for trustworthy engine operation. Hence, they provide less heat and more protection to the engine. In other world, they provide longer engine life.
  • In petroleum based conventional motor or engine oils, some useless ingredients are found. To remove these ingredients from the oil is too expensive and complicated task. The breakdown of these ingredients in engine produces sludge and affects the performance of the engine and its parts and produce pollution as well. In synthetic oils such ingredients are not found. They are especially prepared for specific purposes and specific vehicles such as gear oils, motorcycle oils, heat transfer fluids, 2 stoke & 4 stroke motor oils, etc. They provide better lubrication & performance and less pollution rather than conventional engine oils.
  • In cold temperatures, conventional petroleum based motor/engine oils or lubricants become solid. But synthetic motor oils remains fluid even in extreme cold. Synthetic oils flow quickly to engine parts and help your engine operate more smoothly and efficiently over a longer period of time. The uses of synthetic engine oils reduce friction & wear greatly and make your engine enable to start faster. In this way, one can save enough per year in fuel.
  • The use of synthetic motor oils also controls acid formation providing higher protection. They help engines start easier and protect against wear.
The use of synthetic motor oils regularly makes you enable for lower maintenance and longer life of your engines and their components. Thus, you can save money by saving fuel and maintenance cost and can provide your engines longer life. You can also save the crisis of petroleum. So, always use synthetic motor oils.

Choosing Right Industrial Lubricants
Most of us use some types of industrial lubricants regularly. If we use some oil to cycle paddles to run them smoothly, we use lubricants. The main function of lubricants is to remove friction between moving parts of two solid surfaces. But they also perform other functions such as removing wear, cleaning, preventing against rust & corrosion etc.

As we known that when two solid surfaces interact together it causes friction and friction causes heat. So, the use of industrial lubricants also cools the moving parts by transferring heat away as well reducing friction. This is why they are also termed as heat transfer fluids. A large amount of lubricating oils or fluids are consumed in industries like large and small scale metal working industries, automobiles, transportation, etc. The use of lubricants makes enable any machinery smooth running and provide longer life and ultimately saves money and time both.

There are several different types of lubricants which are used in industry for different purposes. Greases, lubricating pastes, Compressor oils, turbine oils, hydraulic oils, farming oils, metalworking fluids, etc are kinds of industrial lubricants which are used in industries for different purposes. But the main purpose of all these lubricants is same i.e. to reduce friction & wear. In metal working industries, a large amount of lubricating materials is also used for lubrication. Grinding fluids, cutting fluids, coolants, etc are example of metal working fluids.

The single largest application of lubricants is in the form of motor oils (also termed as engine oils) which are use in various types of internal combustion engines for the purpose of lubricating moving metal parts, inhibiting corrosion, and cooling the engine by carrying heat away from the moving metal parts. No one can think smooth and safe running of a vehicle without using lubricants such as motor oils, gear oils, greases, etc.

But while using lubricants for your industrial need you must opt for right types of lubricants. Choosing the right lubricants can be tricky task. Before selecting the proper lubricants you must consult suppliers who can assist you in choosing the proper lubricants in your application. There are several lubricant suppliers who design lubricants for the different industrial needs and applications using some additives for better performance.

But all lubricants must meet general technical requirements such as reducing friction, reducing heat, reducing wear, protecting against rust & corrosion, cooling, etc. But depending on your industrial needs or application you must choose lubricants which are specially designed for that application. Thus, we see that using right & proper industrial lubricants can provide your machinery longer life, better performance and ultimately can save both money and time for you.

I can't respond to any of the technical details mentioned above but given your user name and the general content, it looks a lot like an advert.
