22 re motor build

ok so im just starting to tear into the 22re in my 1983 celica gts and i have a few questions. i blew the headgasket a year ago and the motor has 160 grand on it so im just doing a full performance rebuild. i want to punch the cylinders out but idk what is a safe bore for the motor.

also i am wanting to get the head ported, grind teh seats, oversize the valves, shave teh deck a bit and put a hot cam in.

im planning on running a turbo but i cant find a turbo kit for the car, any suggestions?

also i have a 2 stage fogger nitrus system with a hundred shot capacity in planning on running.

im not sure what to do to the motor to run the turbo and nos

pretty much i need a advice on the build, and im looking to keep the cost low. i plan to use it for both street and strip so i dont want anything to outragious. any help would be great!

thanks a lot

if your planning on putting that kinda abuse (nos+boost) id stay pretty conservative on the boring and oversized valves for durabilitys sake.

for a turbo, there was a 22ret, a stock turbo version in some 85+ trucks and 4rnr's. finding the exhaust manifold shouldnt be too hard and there are a few aftermarket ones floating around on ebay. you can also get the dished pistons from that motor and they will fit in yours. the only real difference between a RE and a RET is a oil feed and return passage on the block and dished pistons.

you would also want to ditch the stock ecu and get a mega squrit system or another stand alone ecu. the stock one is the achillies heel of the RE's.

and also remember that these are truck engines, not meant to rev or take craploads of boost, the stock RET is only 7psi but there are a few out there runinng 10-20psi.

some other websites that should be helpful

toyheadauto.com -parts and more parts
www.celica-gts.com -tech and loads of it plus a mega squirt bible for a 22re
www.pirate4x4.com -more tech then the internet was ever meant to handle and even tho its a wheeler site the engine tech is still the same.
www.lcengineering.com -look, drool, but do not buy. instead use it as a way to plan your build
www.engnbldr.com - then build your engine through this guy

hope i was helpful but im not really a efi guy, more of a supercharged carb kinda guy
