Air Intake for 2001 Celica GT

Hey Everyone,

I am finally going to work on my Celica. It is a 2001 GT (auto). I want to put in a CAI and I am wondering if there is a consensus as to which one is best. I was leaning toward the AEM. I will be installing a TRD muffler at the same time. No other immediate changes are planned except possibly better wires and new plugs. While I have you reading- do you have any wire and plug recommendations. I am new to Toyotas.

One additional question... With my former car (A Saturn) the CAI and muffler install required a reset of the main CPU to recognize the change in air flow... This was done simply by unhooking the battery for a few minutes and hooking it back up. That caused a full system reset which would cause the cpu to recognize the new air flow and get rid of the Check Engine Light. Do I need to do anything like this with the Celica???

Thanks Guys!

I usually buy from AutoAnything.com. They'll pricematch any competitor up to a year after your purchase date and they have free shipping on everything. You could also try searching the forum vendors for sale threads here.
