Nope, I never moved the distributor, and I'm now dead certain the timing was and is now spot on, but still no spark. I also confirmed that the 5S-FE does not have a crank or camshaft positioning sensor. I did some more searching on the Web and came upon a wiki post that said the 2.2's are famous for spitting out coils on high-mileage engines. The poster even had the proper specs for voltage and impedance, so I got my trusty meter out and sure enough, mine failed the same two tests his did. He also stated that his has gone through two in 300k. So I picked up a new coil yesterday, and I'll yank the distributor out tonight and install it... we'll see what happens.
I tried going to
http://www.celicatech.com, but there was a page there that said "Too many of you are accessing the site right now, so I shut it down." I just tried again right now, and there is a server error page showing. I'll try again later.
Thanks for the reply, too.
