Look at the top of your engine. Find the injectors, then find the common rail (pipe) that feeds all the injectors. At the end of the rail is a hose. Follow that to the other end. That should be your fuel filter.

I have a 1990 Celica (4A-FE engine); I don't know what you have?

Toyota fuel filters are generally a metal can with pipe fittings on each end. Not a plastic in-line one with hoses and hose clamps.
