Should I fix/replace stock 185 intercooler or for for front mount?

Today I was changing the spark plugs on my 185, and also looking around the intake manifold for a potential vacuum leak causing a lumpy idle and boost leak. I picked up the intercooler just do do a quick check over it, and then i discovered that between the first two fins and on the inlet side was a nice big crack going about half the way around the end tank and about 1mm across at its widest.
So now that leaves me with two options: repair or replace with another intercooler of the same type, or go for a front mount intercooler.
How much work needs to be done to the front of a 185 in order to fit a front mount?
Or perhaps install a 205 charge cooler and replace the bonnet with a CS bonnet?
