gen 7 2000 Celica GT Repairing Issues

Need some help in finding out some prices on what it would cost me to repair my 2000 Celica GT. I am aware after my diagnostic check at a local shop that its the two following issues:

P0420 Catalyst Efficiency Low Bank #1
&
P0770 Shift Solenoid Valve E(5) problem

I went over to my local Toyota Dealership to get a price quote and they said they can't trust the local shop's diagnostic check and I would have to pay $100 just for them to check. They also couldn't give me a price quote cause they said the repair could be expensive like a Catalytic Converter or a tiny part that's tripping the check engine light. My Celica still runs beautifully so I'm pretty much convinced that its nothing much.

I'm just trying to sell my car and get the best price for it, but want the check engine light off and parts replaced before selling it. I just want to do the right thing!! Anybody can give me advice, I greatly appreciate it!!
