are these celica rims???

so i bought some rims off a 70's celica at a pick and pull junkyard. one was on the car, one was in the back. i picked them up for 15 bucks each.

but im not sure if they are really celica rims or some other brand.

i plan on using them on either my 85 corolla GTS or 91 stanza.

heres a pic of one of them.

i plan on chroming the ribs of the wheel aswell as the center of it, then painting inside of it white.

why white? because my stanza is white and my corolla will be white.

no those arnt celica rims.

those are some vintage american racing or keystone rims and if the whole set is in that good of shape they are worth a very pretty pennie.

Yes and no.
They are definitely not made by Toyota.
The product name is "Turbine" but I can't remember the company name.
ROH in South Australia made a very similar wheel - as did a few American companies.
It was quite popular in the 70's and 80's.

But since it was bolted to an old Celica, it is obviously suitable for a RWD Celica.
That makes them suitable for a RWD Corolla or your Nissan (assuming offset is okay - test first).
Good find.

Ignoring the very special and very rare rims on the low production 2000GT, Toyota didn't mass produce alloy rims until Jan 1977 - 8 spoke 13" Corolla rims and 14" Celica/Corona rims.
Then swapped to the 14" pyramid style in 1981.
Then added a few other 13/14/15" styles in 1983.
Toyota rims always have the Toyota name or logo (looks like TEq) embossed on them.

Well, if your mind is open to the distinct possibility that you might have to do exhaustive research, there is a way to (probably) find those rims--as long as they were OEM and not aftermarket.

If you have a friend who's a mechanic, ask 'em if their shop has the Hollander Interface--it's the software package that contains all parts and interchanges from the 1960's to present. The software I used to use had a wheels database complete with pictures.

Good luck!

I'm not quite sure what the question is - you only made a general request for information.

Look at the last photo on this page for some examples.

I'm using 15x6" from a Japanese spec Soarer on my '77 liftback (similar to the 14x7" GT-S Celica/Supra rims).
