92 Celica - How to replace an antenna?

I need to replace the antenna on the car, but before I bid on something like that on eBay, I would like to ask someone, how would I remove this from the car? The old Antenna is ripped out, some one just tore the thing off. All I see is a silver rim and a small hole on the trunk.
Any ideas?
Thank you

The antenna unbolts from the inside of the hatch/trunk--just remove the plastic trim to gain access. As for the exterior, there should be a threaded keeper on top of the base, you can unscrew that to allow the antenna mast (or what's left of it) to drop through the hole and into the trunk area. Hope this helps...

mine was a pain to remove I had to use bolt cutters because everything was corroded solid. Be careful I screwed up my paint a little when I replaced mine with a rubber antenna. Looks sweet!
