205 head on 185 block

soon my 185 is getting a nice new steel head gasket, a boost gauge and controller and some other goodies, and now I have been given the chance to buy a reconditioned st205 head. how much modification would be needed to install the st205 head, and would it give me any performance benefits?

It's either the heads, or the intake manifolds that are not interchangeable I forget.

The heads will swap out , but the manifolds will not. If you don't have the manifolds to go with it don't bother because it would be useless. The st205 head is leaps and bounds better then the 185 head, but you need the manifolds, fuel rail, distributor, different timing belt, coolant neck, etc. It takes some work to pull off. I have every gen 3sgte motors and heads at my shop and I have tried all variations to see what will and won't work.
