gear oil question

hey i recently changed my manual tranny fluid and i have a question....

i work at jiffy lube so i get free service on my car, but the only GL-4 we have is 80w90 and the book says to use 75w90 in my transmission (2002 gt celica)

am i hurting my tranny? or is it ok to use 80w90?

hmmm...having any problems with gears? or do you hear it getting louder after reaching a certain speed or after you shift in second and hear it in every gear after?..honestly i've heard the same thing with mines and kept running on it and next thing you know...i'm posting a topic in here for parts for my tranny etc..lol..so if you've answered yes to all these..then have it checked..my cause of the problem was due to the heavy foot i got causing the car to go fast lol...
