3sgte and 3sfe block compatibility

My celica needs a new block because the current one is scored, and I cant afford to get it bored and new oversized pistons and rods etc, so I figured just replace the block. It is an st185, with a gen 2 3sgte. can i use the block off a 3sfe?

Bad idea, 3sfe's hate boost. You'll spend as much or more money on making the 3sfe hold boost than rebuilding the 3sgte or replace if need be.

The gte was designed for boost, high revs, and racing, where as the fe was intended for grocery getting and fuel economy.

i dont mean using the whole 3sfe engine, only the cylinder block. i would use the crankcase, pistons, crankshaft, head etc from the 3sgte. so the only part would be the block, not other parts
