Talking New owner of an 88 All Trac!

Heya all! Dont mind my name on here, I have a camry too!

This past weekend, I purchased myself a BEAUTIFUL 1988 Celica All Trac from the MR2Guru's themselves!! The condition is AMAZING and its the most unbelievable vehicle I have ever been in! Its got 87k ORIGINAL miles on it, and I am the SECOND owner of this beautiful machine. There will be quite a few pics to be shown, but I think if you just check out the CarDomain.com link in my sig, it should explain it. I dont want to spam pics, becase I took a billion after giving it a great cleaning this morning.

Just felt like I should introduce myself to all of you celica owners ^_^ I hope you are all as cool as the Gen 3 Camry people over there in the Camry section! But of course you've gotta be!

Congrats on the "new" 165. Have you joined up at www.alltrac.net?
Nice touch with the JDM licence plate.

I ain't going to lie, all celica forum I have found sucks (found just about all) and barely anyone active. Yes even alltrac.net. I don't even own an alltrac. Sadly yesterday I decide to check out wisconsin dsm and they have there own state forum on dsm and they are even more active than all the celica forum, lol, we are talking wisconsin vs worldwide celica forum combine. I love toyota don't get me wrong but celica forum is one of the worst you will ever find!

The alltrac.net website will be the most active website your going to find even more so then here on toyotanation. The difference between DSM fourms and the alltrac.net is how that alltrac.net is mainly for alltrac/gtfour and how many are there? For the amount of alltrac/gtfour that there is the alltrac.net website is pretty active and you'll find a lot of info needed. I'm myself on it so drop by and say hi.

Don't be bashing on www.AllTrac.com it's one of the best sites going. The ppl there are knowledgeable and friendly.

If you don't own an alltrac, then why are you bashing on alltrac.net?

AllTrac.net and celicatech.com are about all you need for a 4-6th gen celica.

There's a reason why the local DSM forum may be more active than the AllTrac forums... That being that i have a hard time getting to work without getting HIT by the hundreds of DSMs populating my area like cockroaches. I see MAYBE 2 alltracs a year outside of the yearly Tail of the Dragon meet. And that right there is reason enough to want an alltrac.

And as for non 'trac' celicas.... there isn't much aftermarket for them, because of people that aren't willing to actually learn about the car and want to do a few bolt ons and then "OMG I SMOKED A MUSTANG LOLZ". There are active Celica sites. God knows why you frequent this one, as it's the least active out of all that i'm on.

A Celica is not a Honda, and as soon as you realize that, you'll probably be happier, and maybe give some constructive help on the topic at hand.

Is this the black one with the gen3 swap? I can't see the pics at work, sorry.

<EDIT>

Guess not. VERY clean car, though. Congrats!
