Hi everyone, I'm usually on the Camry forums. Had a quick question.

Coworker has a 1990 Celica 2.2l, and said that 'smoke comes from the oil dipstick all the time'. I have no idea what this could be, but was wondering where I should look at it for him. Thanks!

Check the PCV, but it could also mean that it has too much blow-by. Same as the Camry. And one more thing, is it actually smoke or is it steam, like water in the oil? As in, maybe blown head gasket?

Does he mean smoke from within the oil dip stick or around that area? If its from within then most likely its steam which means water is getting in somehow (BHG?)? If its around then it might be leaking from the bottom of the oil dip stick tube.
