93 gt celica 5sfe. Speedo will not work

I was driving at 75 and looked down and the speedo was at 0. never had an issue before. Is this a fuse problem or am i going to have to pull the whole gauge cluster out and replace it?

On a 5sfe, it uses a Vehicle Speed Sensor in the transmission, from there it goes to the ECM, and then from the ECM to the instrument cluster. If it is the VSS, it would have turn on the CEL, since it needs the signal to control the transmission. So it may be somewhere in between the ECM to the cluster there is an open circuit or the drive in the cluster is bad.

It's the speedo cable. It's a two part piece, one threads into the transmission, and comes up and connects to another piece that goes up through your firewall.

Make sure both ends are connected, that the probe into the tranny isn't broken, and that both ends are connected to each other.
