not sure yet i just wanted to know so i can do some research 1st

Best bet would be 3SGTE ..... AllTrac engine (awd turbo Celica) ...... mucho info on this swap can be had over at www.celicatech.com. Good luck. You could turbo your engine, but the 5S is designed more as an economy engine than performance..... 3SGTEs can easily make great power with mods (300hp) - maybe a lil much for fwd, but it's be great fun !!!

Or go all motor with either a 3rd gen 3SGE or 3SGE Beams.

3sge ~ 170+hp
Beams ~ 200+Hp

both 2.0 so that means you'll be getting a good amount of turq and very good power band.
