Wheel Bearing?

Hi guys

my 88 gt convertible is making a clicking noise very much like a bad CV axle, only it is coming from passenger side rear. It tends to happen at about 25 and below and 55 and above. At lower speeds the car also shimmies a bit. Also the parking brake light stays on a lot even with the brake released. I assumed it was a bad switch for the light.
So does anyone have any insight? I'm thinking it's a wheel bearing or maybe the parking brake drags? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Actually my car is doing the same things your car does and it's my wheel hub being warped a little causing a suspension and trunk hinge problem on my car, but it doesn't click. It should be easy to take apart and determine what the problem is all the way down to the hub with regular tools, but I doubt you will get the bearings out (special tool) if that is really your problem. Might be the brakes or maybe the bearings. If it still shimmies have a professional diagnose/align suspension because that is dangerous. Shimmies are dangerous because after a while your wheel will fall off. Although a shimmie could just be the tires after a fresh rotation.

As for the brake light always being on, disconnect the wire coming off the top of the brake fluid cap at the opposite end, but only pull it out a little bit to keep dirt from getting into the connector until you can get a new one. If that doesn't do it then the only other place to look is the switch under the brake lever itself.
