5sfe & 3sge distributors... G1 pickup in same position on both?

5sfe has a single G1 pickup...
& the 3sge has the G1 and G2 pickups....

Is the 3sge G1 pickup in the same position as the 5sfe G1 pickup?
So it should be able to mimic the behaviour and signals of the 5sfe distributor?

Which one out of the 4 wires do i cut on the 3sge distributor electrical plug to eliminate the 3sge G2 pickup?
