Is this the 2009 Celica?

http://www.wheelsdirect2u.com/toyota-celica.htm

I don't know if this story is false or not. It does seem a little sketchy because there is only a drawing for a picture.

Not true. That is definately a Celica though. The last model Celica. The Celica is no more and not coming back.

No way. This is a fake. The celicas won't be made again. At least for a while! i could be a possiability that they could bring them back like they are the Supra but it wouldn't be for a while.

They are NOT bringing back the Supra....are they? A couple months ago there was a press release that said they decided to not make the FT-HS.

There will be no Supra. Toyota is dissapointing me, they have no nice fast cars in their line up...no coupes. Lexus doesnt count in my eyes, I dont want a Lexus. I want a Toyota...Supra or Celica or MR2.

The Supra is dead. Its not coming back. Every concept super car Toyota comes out with is just seen as the next Supra because those are the shoes its gotta fill. Thats the car it'll be compared to. So everyone just says its the next Supra.

My dealerships suppost to be getting one next year. Unless toyota descides to destroy it at the last minute. Thats the only way i could see it happening. Toyota need to bring back a sports car soon. To appeal to the younger crowd again. Everything they have appeals to the mid and older crowd. So we'll see. I know i'd buy it if it came out. oh well guess we'll see what happens the end of next year.

Toyota is working on a sports compact car with Subaru. But its gonna basically be a rwd Subaru with a Toyota shell. Thats very disappointing to me but I guess its a step forward.

Yeah i read about that too. I'm just as dissappointed in it as you are. Why would they go that route? Not like they haven't ever made a successful RWD sports compact car. I almost wanna say that they are going in the wrong direction with sports cars. I'm sorry i don't really consider the corrolla/matrix XRS to be a sports car at all.

Anything with 4 doors is not a sports car imo. Everyone knows the other 2 doors are for groceries and babies.
Trucks cannot be sports cars either, even is they say sport on the side.
Toyota does need an affordable (Lexus) sports car bad.

And did y'all get a load of this from the link ?????
"On the Celica GT, a 1.8-liter, DOHC, 16-valve 4-cylinder with VVT-I muscles its way across the pavement, while in the GT-S, a 1.8-liter, DOHC, VVTL-i engine does the job. Both engines fire out 180 horsepower - 100 horsepower per liter - which give you a most powerful start off the line. "
Wow....they've really improved the 1zz, eh ???
