Rims for an '89 Celica

I have a 1989 Celica and was wondering if I can put rims with these specs. - 195/55/15. Also, I would like to know if I would need any extras for it to fit without having it rub against anything. For example, getting wheel spacers.

195-55-15 is fine just as long the offset is close to +39mm, that's the factory offset.

To give you an idea, on my 89GTS I ran 205-55-15's on 15" x 7" rims with +40mm offset, but needed a 5mm spacer, otherwise it rubbed the rear struts.

EDITED: 5mm spacer, not 45mm spacer!

I am running those right now on my 5th gen with no problem. I think a 205 will rub and you would need wheel spacers.

Avoid wheel spacers - they are prone to breaking wheel studs.
Better to get the correct offset or use the narrower tyre.

5 or 8mm spacers don't make much difference in day-to-day driving. If you're very aggressive or performance driving, yes, you may want to get longer wheels studs or go to the bolt-on spacers but they are more $$.
