4age is going to be the way to go, whether it be 16 or 20v.

2.2l is fun to find parts for. I have a 1992 Toyota Celica GT. I finally decided to do a 3SGTE swap on the car. Parts all extras i bought and everything came out to about 11g. Well the shop doing this for me got the engine mounted and never finished never even got put together. So i have a perfect Black Celica body shell perfect interior now and no motor i put it in my All Trac to replace one in it. So now i have the old 5SFE still but the harness is cut and rats ate some of the carpet in the car kinda pissed about it. Will never deal with that swap again.

11g?!?!

Duuuuuuddeeeee.....

It's an EASY swap that if you look for deals and do your homework, can be done for under $3k.

no, it's closer to 8k to have it done at a shop. 11k must have been a real nightmare. mine would have been ~6.5k, but the clip i got was missing some important stuff. research a good clip vendor, pray and be ready to replace some stuff. 8k is not unheard of by an means.

Oh roight....

If you pay a shop to do it, sure....

My bad.

If you keep an eye open and do your own work, WAY cheaper. I mean... i'm doing a Gen3 with a solara E153 and TRD LSD, and i'm going to come in way under that.
