lowering my idle speed on my 90 celica gt - Toyota Nation Forum : Toyota Car and Truck Forums

just picked up a 90 gt. kinda new to toyota and new to this site but its great..... anyway the idle speed is a little high to me... sitting at 1200 idle speed. but with it being this cold out, id idles at 2000. i believe this is because its warming the car up... then it will drop to warm speed. but anyway is there anything i can do to lower the rpm idle to around 8 or 900? thanks for your time.

Check page FI206 in the link above. The idle screw is on the throttle body.

Ur welcome. There is another section that shows how to set the idle speed but that page has a good picture of it. Enjoy the rest of the manual as well

me and my dad found a vacuum line that has disconnected... we put it back on and its now idling at 800 rpms and dont change unless i rev it.... but thanks anyway... i can use that info
