Rough Idle

Hi guys! I just joined today. I've been having major issues with my 2001 Celica. For almost a year it's been idling really rough around 200-400rpms. I'm not a techie so don't throw too much lingo at me. I've taken it back and forth to the dealer. They hooked it up to the machine and it's reading 600rpms. The tachometer is showing the rpm much lower. When I first start the car it's fine, but once it warms up the rpms drop. Last couple of weeks check engine light comes on. Took it back to the dealer and no codes were coming up. On Wednesday the light came on again; filled up Friday and light went off. Took it to the dealer today to still have it checked and the codes that are coming up is P0171 and P03 (something). Since last year the throttle (sp) body has been cleaned, spark plugs replaced, the MAF sensor has been replaced and some valve. They are telling me to bring it back on Monday...I need help!!! I'm in Maryland and it's FREEZING...I thought for sure the car was going to stall. If anyone has any ideas I would really appreciate it! Thanks

Is the only problem the idle? At cold engine start when the engine is at high idle, does it idle OK. What is the high idle RPM?

Do you know what the complete P03 code was?

Is the engine running rough or just the idle. At 200-400 RPM the engine would run rough, but should be OK at say 700 RPM.

Any acceleration problems, how is the MPG?

Does the idle speed adjust when you put the gear in gear and turn on the AC?

Hey guys,

Thanks for all the suggestions. Just dropped the car off. The other code that came up was for the 02 sensor. I'll know for sure this afternnon.

Update

After going back and forth to the dealer for months they finally figured out what was causing the P0171 code. The CEL has been on for 6 weeks straight and I decided to take my car back to have them take another look. The air intake gasket had to be replaced. Thanks for all the suggestions.
