92 celica, poor cold start

hi all, newbi here glad to find ya

11/91 cellica

where would you start looking for a sudden cold start problem? no check engine light, runs fine when warm, doesnt like to idle till full warm...began one morning about a week ago and is no worse or better now than the first day.

seems a bit less dramatic at 23 degrees above than 12 below zero..might be my imagination or just wishfull thinking...

thanx mark

is it just idle surging? mine when it was cold was idle surging until it warmed up then it was fine... if its just surging or even just idling high theres nothing wrong its just cold and warming itsself ip

try messing with your idle screw located on your throttle body. you may have it to where it idles too slow and when its cold it wants to idle surge causing it to go too low and die
