Gen5 mystery vacume lines

when my mechanic put in the replacement engine he did not hook up thiese lines the car runs ok so far

they come from this gadget bolted to the passenger side of the intake manafold and run to a gadget bolted to the firewall on the top passenger side corner

the gadget has two yellow wires comming from it and one of the vacume lines when i plug it with my finger the engine slows down

i hooked them up to where i thought they were suppose to go and i herd a gurgling noise

I have no clue off the top of my head. I'm really only familiar with rev2 motors. I'll have to look at mine tomorrow for you, i'm not going to make it home while it's light out today, sorry.
