The hood "T" emblem has 3 holes like the trunk "T" emblem but they are in different places. There is supposed to be a little rubber grommet in each of the holes to keep the metal from being eaten away by rust. Most of my grommets are gone, but the emblem sealant is doing that job instead.

I have noticed that the "T" emblems from my 92' GT are slightly wider and shorter then the emblems found on newer years or different makes. Hope that helps.

Shaved GT (at least partly)

The GT embelm on the rear deck lid does not conceal any holes behind it. I am referring to the "whole" emblem.

Depends on the generation.
The RWD Celicas have holes behind all the badges.
