Need some advice about buying celica.

Hey peeps,

I would appreciate any comments or advice you can give me about buying a 1995 white celica gt-s.

I am thinking of buying this model and it has everything, leather, power moonroof, everything. I believe it is a luxury model since it has the gold toyota emblem. The add says low km's so I am assuming it will be around 80k to 130k. I went and looked at the car and everything is clean and extremely nice looking (Unfortunately forgot to look at mileage ).

The advertised price is 11,900 CAD, but guy said he can go down to 11,000 and with some haggling hopefully 10,000.

I understand that this isn't a lot of information, but can you guys give me a general idea to see if the car is worth it, or if this car is at all good?

Also does anyone know how much it will approximately cost to get a thorough check of everything?

I have done a lot of research and the only thing I do not really like is the fuel economy.

Thanks in advance to anyone that can help me.

Market value is around 12G, so for a fully loaded low mile car, thats a pretty good deal. Take it for a drive and see if its what you're looking for, they handle great, but are pretty slow in a straight line, but they look pimp.

i would look for wetness in the engine bay area and under it... i saw a small spot of oil around the top of my engine... thought eh it doesnt look big drove the car around thought it was good... haha lil did i know the first time i looked under the car (after i bought it) it was very nasty... grease oil coolant.. so check under the car also... maybe you can avoid taking off the head and replacing all the gaskets like i am doing!

Yes I absolutely agree with you. I love the look of the car and the torque seems great. HP doesn't really matter too much to me since I am not a racer. BTW did you get the market value from kbb?

No, its just what I've seen them go for. But KBB is a good idea.
