Thumbs down 1990 celica gt trunk lid...

hey guys, i got this gt coupe at the auction. runs great only problem is the trunk looks misaligned and i am worried rain couldget in and rust my internals. ithink the previous owner backed into something or was rear ended. back lights work fine, the right brake light cover is slightly cracked. carfax turned up clean title. whats the best way to fix this, should i get a new backend or do you think a hammer could help?

Is it actually leaking?

The coupe trunklids almost ALWAY are bent. Reason being that the struts fail, and don't extend when you open it, and then they bend against the body of the car when you try to open it.
