Celica having problems...

Hey Folks,

I have a 94 Celica and the misfortune of living in Vermont. My car had been fine till yesterday. When I start the car, it turns over and starts but then it turns off after 5-10 seconds. I have tried keeping my foot on the gas pedal, batteries, and everything else... Any suggestions?

Thank you in advance!

When was the last time you got it serviced? Could be alternator or timing belt that needs to be replaced.

Its really hard to diagnose somthing like that man. Maybe you should take it in for service. It could be anything from a clogged fuel filter to a bad ignitor. If you're determined, maybe check your fuel pressure to see if the pump is doing its thing as its supposed to. If it starts, it must be getting air, spark and fuel, but when it dies one of three things aren't making their way to the motor.

Thanks alot for the info Deep. I'm not that ambitious so I'll take it into the shop and have it looked at.

Have a good weekend!
