84 celica smokes

i just recently purchased an 84 celica gts with the 22re motor. it smokes when started up and smokes more after giving it gas. im assuming it could be a head gasket,but im no pro when it comes to this kind of thing. so any kind of input on this would be useful.

that would be my guess the head gasket. also your rings could be bad. what color is the smoke?

they have a treatment for it now its real easy you just buy this gum or a patch and in a few weeks it wont smoke any more

i would think the rings if it "smokes" lol when its warm
