87 gt-s problems

hi everyone! i just registered, and i am hoping to get some advice. i recently came across a 1987 celica gt-s. with a blown motor(piston 3 went through the block). i got the shell, and have added a 3s-ge. everything in the install went great, but i cant get the darn thing to start! new coil and repairing a wire got me spark and rpms on the dash. fuel pump operates just fine, and pressure is good. for some reason though, im getting no injector pulse. the wires are hot with the key on both sides. any help would be greatly appreciated. replacement list so far is...
coil, distributor, efi relay, cap/rotor/plugs/wires, and an ecu form a working gt-s had the same problem. thanks in advance
