2002gt-s supercharger, worth it?

I've got a 2002 celica gt-s, automatic ( ) , anyways, I was looking to put in a trd 1.8L supercharger. after doing some research, I don't know if it's worth putting like $3000 into it when the 1.8L engine already has a high compression ratio. Anybody know if I should go ahead or just save my money?

Save your money and go with a high performance muffler and a nice cold air intake. cost for top of line 200.00 and if you go cheap it will cost you 50.00 (cheap intake cherry bomb muffler)
Add a nos system to that car easy 500.00 will beat any turboized car.

Ok, I forgot to mention that the car's still on warranty, and I don't want to void it by using non-trd products. Also, I won't be paying for the supercharger, my dad will. I'm not as much worried about the price as I am about the actual performance increase that the supercharger will do. Know how much hp and torque increase it would make?

peronally i would go turbo, nos is good too as you would like to have it to spool up the turbo quicker. check out greddy, they have a lv.1 kit for 2500 i believe. good for about 6 lbs boost (thats an easy way to make 100+ hp and torque). u can jack up the boost on the turbo later when u make the motor alittle more durable.
