Looking to buy a 93 celica gt

Hey guys, recently i have been looking at getting a second car for my gf, and i just got back from looking at a 93 celica gt with 200k miles on it. hes selling it for 2500, and things that are wrong with it, is the cv axle joint on the left side... comestically, paint is a lil faded, and front bumper has some scratches. But overall, still a very sexy car. So what im asking really is, what could go wrong and is this even a good idea to consider. Look forward to yalls input. Thanks

um i found a 91 with rust and needed nothing except struts and a trunk because it leaks. best 500 bucks i ever spent and it has 160k miles on it. 200k miles is a lot not really for a celica but for 2500 hell no i wouldnt buy it. honestly, you can get one that needs nothing and has like 125k miles for less than that.

Yeah that's definitely high. maybe inspected for that. I'm working on buying a 92 gt right now with a crack in the radiator and the clutch is slipping a little but it has been sitting and wasn't before, probably just needs to be adjusted and driven on a bit. But otherwise good paint(amazing actually but the bumper is worn down), good interor, good shape mechanically with 149000 miles for $1300
