Angry 2001 celica headers

ok, i have a 2001 celica gt that i just put on some racing headers. But there is this very annoying sound when i accelerate. it makes this like really loud clicking sound, i thought it was an exhaust leak and got a new donut where it connects from the headers to the downpipe. Does anybody know what the sound could be? Or does anybody know what to torque the bolts down to?

Ticking is usually an exhausts leak.

check your shields around your exhaust as well they might be hitting the body of the car i had that problem after installing my exhaust.

try tightening the bolts down to spec again. Did you re-use the springs?

I helped install a Hotshot header on a 7th gen a while back. Yeah you're right, 2 of the heatshields were useless so we tossed them out. Actually we had to cut them in half to get it out. But if I remember, there were two springs used where the header flange meets the b pipe. I might be wrong, but I don't think I am.
