Universal Spoiler for 2001 Celica GT?

So I've never done any modding before, and I'd appreciate some advice on picking out a spoiler. I see a lot of sweet looking ones labeled Universal, but they're marked as having 11" pedestals. Will that actually fit on the tail of a 2001 Celica GT? I got out a ruler and I don't see how, but I figured maybe it's dependent on installation. Thanks for helping a newbie!

Those spoilers w/the 11" base are for cars w/trunks. They make some spoilers w/ corner pedistal that look like this:

!!< This is the cornering universal piece.


One tip:
Make sure your lid openers can support the lid plus the 10 pounds at the end.

You will probably have to buy new ones that can.
