92 celica headlight stopped working

So the other day i got home and noticed the passenger light wasnt working when i pulled in so I bought i replacment light (correct size and all) and put it in the next day but it didnt work. I exchanged it to make sure it wasnt just a bad bulb and that one didnt work either. The motor still works fine poping it up and down still perfect. Where should I start looking to fix this problem? I dont wanna get pulled over for a bad headlight.

if its just the one side check the wires and the socket that the light goes into. I've seen a fair amount of them get burnt up

Gen5

Hey, I have 3 of these 5th Gen Celica's (that makes 6 headlights), and I have had to repair the wiring harness at the connector for 3 headlights already. Sometimes you don't see any problems, but with the headlights always opening & closing, it flexes the wiring at the headlight connector a lot, and copper with fatigue & break. The plastic case around the wire looks good, but the wire is broken.

Best bet is to buy a new headlight connector at an autoparts store, cut the old connector off with an extra inch or 2 of the harness, then solder in the new headlight connector wiring. It will work again.
