'91 Celica GT. Need some advice

Hi. I found this forum yesterday and absolutely love it. I'm a new Celica owner and very happy with my car. There are a few things I want to fix up on it but need advice. I'm not sure how to fix these things and I can't find the parts. Google and eBay have failed me.

I have included pictures to help show what I mean. The URL's didn't copy right so don't just click them. You need to copy and paste them into your browser, sorry.

First off is my front 'hood/bumper' for lack of the proper term. The word Toyota has faded a bit and the black plastic has a chip on the right side (hard to see in pic). I'm looking at replacing the piece that I circled in red. Is this possible and where would I find the part online?

http://www.iupload.net/012004/front1.JPG (shows the part I need to replace)

http://www.iupload.net/012004/front close1.JPG (close up of the part)

The next thing I was hoping to do was purchase a new chrome raised emblem that says Celica. In the picture you can see I have Toyota and GT but the word Celica is a hard-to-see decal. Anyone able to point me to where these are sold? I'd like the same color and style as the Toyota and GT if possible.

http://www.iupload.net/012004/emblem close1.JPG (close up of where I want the emblem to go next to the GT)

When I bought my car the original center caps were missing (stolen). The guy who owned the car bought some cheap aluminim center caps that don't match the chrome wheel at all (the color is much worse than it looks in the picture). Where can I find center caps for a '91 GT? (OEM or after market is fine) I believe the wheels are stock alloy 15 inch.

http://www.iupload.net/012004/wheel1.JPG (wheel and old center cap)

http://www.iupload.net/012004/wheel cap off1.JPG (wheel with center cap off)

http://www.iupload.net/012004/wheel ruler1.JPG (wheel showing approximate center cap size. I know the measuring tape is upside down hah)

Last but not least the carpet on the passanger side has pulled lose. I simply can not pull it back up to go back under the plastic lip. Any suggestions?

Thanks for reading and I look forward to getting to know my fellow Celica owners.

1. The part is about $70 at the dealer
2. You can either to the dealer and get a new decal, or have one custom made at a vinyl shop.
3. You could try polishing those alum caps, you won't find anything that will exactly match the chrome finish. Or go to a junkyard
4. Try inserting a large flat screwdriver between the carpet and the console just below the cap shown in the pic, and then slide it back, tucking the carpet.

Good luck

Thanks a lot man. I appreciate the quick response.

1. $70 isn't so bad, as long as the installation is quick and easy. (I don't have much car knowledge)

2. I went to my dealer last week and asked about the emblem and he didn't have anything that matched. I'll have to check around town.

3. I'm trying to get new center caps because even when I polish the old ones they are still a bit warped and the color is off. There must be some place that sells after market center caps.

4. I'll give the screwdriver a try.

Thanks again!

Installation is super easy, theres only a few screws. I didn't mean an actual emblem, but the stickers in a contrasting colour. You could check www.car-part.com for the hubcaps.

You will want to just get a different sticker to cover it. If not when you peel it off you will have an obvious paint color difference from sun fade. Trust me I know, I yanked mine off one day out of boredom with out thinking about it. Also I have some 15's that were custom made for mine, but i went up to 17's when I bought it. I can send pics if you are interested. They have fairly new yokohama low profiles on them. Sorry, Im always trying to make a buck

The factory center cap will be plastic and have celica imprinted in it.Doubt if you would ever get it to look right against those polished wheels. I got a full set of four. Spray painted with silver Krylon by the previous owner . They even Kryloned the rims so we went aftermarket.

Hmm yeah plastic probably wouldn't look right. The wheels look horrible with no center cap on at all so wherever these wheels were bought had to come with some sort of matching center cap. I just wish I knew where they were from so i could track down replacements.

Those appear to be the factory aluminum wheels that someone spent a lot of time polishing.

The hood trim is EXPENSIVE!!! Dealer quoted $230CAN If you can get it for $70, get me one also. The same part for 92-93 doesn't have the lettering and will fit 90-91.
