Which engine proves to be better?

Im about to do a engine swap into a 92 celica STX. Ive really been interested in the ST205 because of its nice stats, but im am going to be running in FWD and i have heard that the 205 doesnt work under those conditions. Ive also heard that the st185 would be better for my situation, because it has the abiblity to run in FWD without any problems. I found a website that will get me a whole engine swap kit for the st205 for roughly $1,600 shipped, so i really wanna get the 205. My dad is professional mechanic and can do just about anything, so labor isnt a problem. Any reasons i shouldn't get the st205??

(correct me if I am wrong)
look at yr sign', I guess u r lookin' for the 2nd gen 3S-GTE. . . rite??
as long as it is a 3S-GTE, it's all good with 5th gen (ST184). . .
u gotta swap and do tons of things. . . eninge, downpipe, sensor, tune-up. . . etc. . .
but as long as yr dad is a mechanic, u will be okay for the price. . .

$1600 sounds good to me, if it includes everything, but I have seen like around $1000 too. . . for the JDM 3S-GTE + tranny
well, do some search on the price and u will be all set

the only thing I confused about the 3S-GTE swap is about the tranny. . .

btw, I didn't do swap in my car b4. . . but I haven't been searching and waiting for my time to do it. . .
u r a pretty lucky guy (yr dad is mechanic). . . coz the labour is the big deal. . . .
anyways, good luck

correct me if I am wrong

You can use either, the only thing is that the rad is huge on the ST205, so if you grab that, you won't be able to lower your headlights. An aftermarket rad would be ok.

which website is this?

Yeah thats a great deal, as long as the harness is intact. The only thing is that the Celica only came with the 3SGTE in an AWD layout, which means that you won't be able to use that tranny. Drop them an email and ask them which tranny they supply, the AWD or FWD one. If they switch the AWD for an FWD, then you're golden.
