Gen5 90 celica swap or not? help!

hey guys i have a 90 celica GT, well the reason im considered swapping is it because when i was going up to vegas last week the engine couldnt handle the heat and so it overheated like 4 or five 5 untill the head gasket finally gave up, anyways im just wondering if i should stick with the 5S or swap it with a 3SGTE... i dont know if the 5S is still good thats why, so im just wondering if i should fix the head gasket or just swap it with a 3SGTE thanks in advance

oh and just wondering if you guys think the 5S is still good because all im gonna do to it is replace the headgasket but im scared that thats not the only damaged part.. maybe the whole head too

You'll have to check the head to see if its warp. You can get another 5S and rebuild it. 3S-GTE will need a lot more time and effort to do but you get more HP.

your radiator was probably clogged full of crap, either inside or out.

Most likely, you'll need a new rad.
