Dude I doubt it is a V6. Supras never came with a V6. Only option was an Inline 6. If it is a 3.0L though then you have a 7mge which is a very good motor..well they are good motors as long as you keep them well maintained. I would check everything out though because if it is a 7mge then someone did a swap so you should make sure everything was done correctly. The 83(2nd gen supra) is a very nice car. Idependent rear suspension. I don't think yours came with an LSD but if you go find a newer cressida or a 3rd gen supra you can take the whole differential from it and drop it in your supra and have an LSD. I also beleive you can get some aftermarket suspension stuff for it. www.185performance is a good place to check out for suspension parts. As for the motor there are a ton of things available for it if you do indeed have a 7mge. If you have a 5mge which is what came with it then you might want to consider swapping in a 7mge or even a 7mgte which is the turbo version. I don't know for sure but I don't think you can use to many parts from a 7mge on a 5mge.

Ok first of all a Celica Supra and a Supra is the samething. The first two generations were called Celica supras because they were based off of the celica and then starting with the 86.5 model they dropped the celica part of the since the celicas went to FWD in 86 and the supras were not based off the celicas anymore. As for your "V6" If it truly is a V6 then whoever owned that car before you is a moron because you have to be a moron to take a smooth running inline 6 and put a rougher running V6 in it. If it is a 3.0 then that means it is a 3vz and those did not run that smoothly. However I just think you need to take a picture of the engine bay because I almost garuntee you that it is an inline 6. Like I said before no Supra every came with a V6 they only came with inline 6's and if you don't beleive me how about you just go to any Toyota dealership and ask them since you don't beleive a guy that is a certified Toyota technician and whos dad has been working for Toyota for 30 years so I guess I can't be beleived so go ask someone else they will tell you the same thing.

That is a 5mge dude so you don't have a 3.0L you have a 2.8L. You can easily put the 7mge in there or even a 7mgte though.
