95 celica motor/trans swap question

i recently picked up a 95 ceilca with a tranny and engine that's not doing too good. its 7afe motor and auto trans, wondering if i can swap in the 7afe and trans from my 94 corolla? the corolla has a 7afe motor and auto trans. will this work?do i need the ecu from the corolla?

any help is much appreciated.

Easiest way. Take the engine from Corolla and reuse all electrical from Celica. You won't need to rewire anything. Tranny may be a problem. There are a few auto trannys. You'll have to compare them and see if there is any different. If the Corolla tranny could plug into Celica harness, it should be good. If there are extra plug/socket either way, you'll need to use Celica tranny.
