Excessive idle at startup

Has anyone experienced 2100 RPM at cold start up? After 4 to 5 minutes, the idle slowly begins to return to normal. I have had this car for almost a year, and this has been a problem since day one. In the meantime, we have replaced the block, timing belt, tps, and coolant temp sensor. The vehicle also vibrates at normal idle with timing set at 10 degrees BTDC. I am perplexed.

Cool, deal, guys. I actually went out to Autozone and bought a bottle of RXP and used it. Seems to have calmed things down a bit. A little more get up and go, too. I took the advice of a radio car guy in the area.

i think thats just normal.....most cars will have a cold start idle function....keeps rpms up until engine is up to normal operating temps....i got rid of it though...no real need for it....i just let the car warm up on its own and dont go anywhere near into boost until shes up to temp.....

my 85 GT does the samething but it takes like 2-5 miles of driving to warm-up and stop the 2k+ cold idle, I'm not worried as it goes to normal after a while
